The Climatech Ecosystem: Technologies in Pursuit of Sustainability

26·09·2024·Environment

We were present at the Climate Tech 2024 Conference in Buenos Aires, a key event in the global climate agenda. In its second edition, the event brought together entrepreneurs, scientists, investors and professionals from the technology sector focused on a common goal: promoting technologies and solutions to mitigate climate change.

The Climatech Ecosystem: Technologies in Pursuit of Sustainability

During this edition, there was a reflection on how innovation and sustainability are essential to face global challenges.

  • It was highlighted that the exponential problems facing our planet need solutions of equal magnitude, both in speed and scale.
  • Strategies were discussed on how to transform science and innovation so that they have a place in the market, and contribute to the development of a regenerative society.

In this innovation ecosystem, the fundamental role of strategic alliances to promote positive environmental impact was also highlighted.

One of the key points of the event was its focus on Carbon Neutrality and the calculation of the Footprint as an essential tool for mitigating climate change, which allowed the total impact of the event to be quantified with the help of Dendro. This commitment to sustainability underlines the importance of measuring and mitigating the environmental impact of each activity, from transport to electricity consumption and waste management.

At Uali, we share this vision of a more sustainable world. That's why we not only apply our technologies to help the energy industry become more efficient, but we are also committed to mitigating our own emissions.

In collaboration with the environmental calculation platform Dendro, we have calculated and offset our Carbon Footprint for 2023, an initiative that reaffirms our commitment to sustainability and positive long-term impact. Thanks to this platform, we were able to accurately calculate the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by our activities, both in Scope 1 (direct emissions) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions from electricity consumption). From this measurement, we were able to implement reduction and offset strategies, aligned with the international best practices of the GHG Protocol.

In line with our philosophy of constant innovation, we continue to look for ways to reduce our environmental impact without compromising operational efficiency. The Climatech conference provided us with an opportunity to learn more about the innovation ecosystem that exists around sustainability and, in turn, strengthen our commitment to the transformation of the energy industry.

At Uali we combine drones with artificial intelligence to provide accurate and actionable data to the energy industry, facilitating decision-making in the care of their assets and thus generating a positive environmental impact. Get to know us!
