Inspections Without Limits: Robotics, AI, and IoT in Action

20·02·2025·Technology

At Uali, we are transforming operations in the energy sector by integrating robotics, AI, and IoT to help energy companies enhance asset management. Recently, we introduced the first DJI Dock 2 in Latin America, a key solution for asset inspections in remote locations, improving efficiency in data collection and analysis by focusing on failures, risks, and inefficiencies.

Inspections Without Limits: Robotics, AI, and IoT in Action

The Future of Inspections Is Already Here

The energy sector is becoming increasingly challenging, and technological innovations enable us to tackle these challenges more effectively. The combination of Artificial Intelligence and robotics in industrial inspections has become an essential ally for the efficient and safe supervision of assets. Among these innovations, the DJI Dock 2 stands out as an advanced solution enabling uninterrupted remote operations, significantly improving efficiency in industries such as renewable energy, oil, and gas.

"Our mission is clear: reduce environmental risks, optimize costs, and enable companies to analyze critical asset data quickly and seamlessly. Partnering with Heliguy and integrating DJI Docks into our ecosystem has taken this vision to the next level." – Ian Bogado.

Through continuous training, we collect real-time data, process it using our AI models, and integrate the dock into our platform via IoT devices. With supervised test flights, we enhance its navigation and pattern recognition capabilities, ensuring efficient and safe behavior in inspections and route mapping.

These devices establish a stable, low-latency connection via the Starlink satellite network, allowing them to operate seamlessly in remote locations. Once the drone returns to its base, it initiates the transfer of large volumes of data in real time to Uali’s cloud. Using an advanced AI-powered processing system and predictive analysis models, the collected data is filtered, structured, and validated. This process provides clients with accurate and reliable insights into their assets, optimizing strategic decision-making and improving operational efficiency across industries.

DJI Dock 2 offers innovative features that set it apart in the Latin American market:

  • Automated Departs and Landings: The system enables smooth mission execution, allowing the drone to autonomously depart and return to its dock without interruptions.
  • Multi-Function Sensors: Equipped with wide-angle RGB cameras, a telephoto lens, and infrared sensors with a range of up to 10 km.
  • Long-Lasting Autonomy: With a battery cycle lifespan of 400 cycles, the system ensures extended inspection operations while reducing flight costs by 50%.
  • Resistant to Harsh Conditions: Featuring dust protection and water resistance, the drone can conduct inspections in adverse weather conditions.

This technology not only mitigates the risks of manual inspections but also accelerates processes, lowers costs, and optimizes operational efficiency. Its ability to provide continuous monitoring makes it an essential asset for industries with stringent control and safety requirements.

At Uali, we combine drones with IoT and artificial intelligence to deliver precise, actionable data to the energy industry. We inspect our clients' asset safety, optimize decision-making, and generate a positive environmental impact. Get to know us!
