Dynamic planning and field data capture

Everything begins on the ground. To cover vast geographical areas or complex infrastructure—such as power lines, renewable energy parks, or oil and gas fields—our teams draft flight plans tailored to local weather and operational conditions.

Utilising aerial units equipped with state-of-the-art sensor technology, we perform simultaneous captures in two key formats:

  • High-Resolution Optical (RGB) Format: To identify structural damage, component wear, vegetation encroachment, or visible physical faults.
  • Thermal Format: To detect temperature variations imperceptible to the human eye—essential for locating hot spots on power lines or temperature anomalies in photovoltaic cells and industrial equipment.

Processing and analysis powered by Artificial Intelligence

Once field data is captured, massive volumes of georeferenced images and metrics are centralized within the Uali platform. This is where our advanced computer vision engine comes into play.

Algorithms specifically trained for the energy industry process thousands of files per minute to identify, classify, and prioritise findings from automatic inspections. These include signs of uncontained fluids on the ground or wellhead, hot spots on insulators and medium/high-voltage cables, missing safety equipment (such as belt guards or perimeter fencing), and thermal anomalies in solar panels or wind turbines.

Alert generation and asset condition maps

Once an anomaly is confirmed, the system automatically generates a georeferenced alert within the Uali platform. Client supervisors and decision-makers receive a notification detailing the severity level assigned to the fault (low, medium, high, or critical), accompanied by corresponding optical/thermal imagery and the exact asset location on an interactive map. This enables immediate operational impact assessments without requiring field travel.

Integration and work order execution

The cycle closes when data is transformed into action. Thanks to the Uali platform's integration capabilities via APIs with clients' corporate systems, an alert can automatically trigger a work order.

Ground maintenance crews receive precise geolocation and technical details of the anomaly, allowing them to proceed directly to the critical point equipped with the appropriate resources. Once the task is completed, the platform updates the asset's history, guaranteeing complete and continuous traceability for future audits.
